Aged 72, the younger brother of the American president passed away Saturday in New York.
He paid him the last visit. Donald Trump did not hide his concern on Friday when he went to the bedside of his brother Robert, hospitalized in New York; “He is living a difficult time,” the President of the United States said at the time.
An ordeal, even if no official details were delivered on the causes of this disappearance; which Robert Trump did not overcome; since he finally died this Saturday at the age of 72, announced Donald Trump in a press release.

“It is with a heavy heart that I announce that my wonderful brother, Robert, died peacefully last night;” the president said in the White House statement. “He wasn’t just my brother, he was my best friend,” the president wrote. “His memory will live on in my heart forever. Robert, I love you. Rest in peace.
Robert Trump was admitted to a New York hospital, and U.S. media reported that he was gravely ill, with no details about the nature of his illness.
Although much less famous than his brother, Robert Trump, born in 1948, had long been a part of the family real estate empire and was absolutely loyal to the president.

He had tried unsuccessfully to have the publication of a book by his niece Mary Trump, describing Donald Trump as the product of a “toxic” family, banned by the courts. Trump called the book “a disgrace” and had obtained a temporary ban on its publication, but a judge lifted the ban in July.
Donald Trump had often described his brother as “wonderful,” saying they had had “a wonderful relationship from day one. Ivanka Trump, daughter, and advisor to the president, said Saturday on Twitter: “Uncle Robert, we love you. You are in our hearts and in our prayers, always.
